Gaynell V. Grant, age 89, of Janesville and formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, MN following a recent illness.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Jaynes Street Community Church of God (7534 Jaynes St.) in Omaha, NE, with the Pastor Christy Ross, officiating. Interment will be held at the Evergreen Memorial Park in Omaha.

Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

A local visitation will be held at the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville on Tuesday, July 9th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Gaynell Virginia, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Zeller) Paustian, was born on April 7, 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended the Millard High School and graduated with the class of 1942. Gaynell was a waitress and worked at the Bomber Plant for many years. On March 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Richard E. Grant in Omaha. They later moved to Merrill, Iowa until Richard''s sudden death on June 6, 1973. Shortly after that, Gaynell moved back to Millard, Nebraska where she worked at Boys Town in the mailing division. In 1989, she moved to Janesville to be closer to family.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Val) Grant of LeMars, Iowa and Diana (Wayne) Gahler of Janesville; her grandchildren, Kasey (Angi) Gahler of Dripping Springs, TX, Korey (Cassandra) Gahler of Madison Lake, MN, Kara (Lewis) Grage of Remsen, IA and Brea (Tony) Turner of Kansas City, KS; her great grandchildren, Nolan Grage, Kenna Grage and A.J. Turner; her sisters, Eleanor Beavers of Paradise, CA, Katy Meeves of Omaha, NE and Betty (Mennis) Eplin of West Hamlin, West Virginia; her sisters-in-law, Alice Paustian and Betty Grant, both of Omaha and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Keiffer and Joseph Paustian; her
