EVELYN L. STANDKE, age 89 of New Richland died on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the New Richland Care Center.
Born on December 12, 1925 in Byron Township, Waseca County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Thomas and Mabel (Klemmensen) Anderson.  She attended school in Owatonna and married Karl R. Standke Sr. on January 2, 1944 in Faribault.   Over the years, Evelyn was employed with Birds Eye, EF Johnson Co., the Waseca Hospital, Toms Shoe Shop, and the New Richland Care Center.   Evelyn enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and sewing.   She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three children, Karl (Karen) Standke Jr. of Rockford, IL, Karyl (Kevin) Miller of New Richland, MN, and Barbara (Willie) Eichhorst of Waldorf; eight grandchildren, Kelly (Larry) Huetsch of Rockford, IL, Samantha Standke of Rockford, IL, Stephen (Sarah) Standke of Medicine Lake, MT, Shawn (Nancy) Miller of Woodbury, Scott (Kristy) Miller of Edina, Sheri (Jesse) Anderson of Owatonna, Jay Eichhorst of Mankato, and Rick (Katie) Eichhorst of Mankato; and nine great grandchildren, Sebastian and Xander Huetsch, Preston Miller, Halle and Korra Anderson, Ryan and Brandon Eichhorst, and Logan and Gemma Standke.  She is also survived by one brother, Thomas (DeLoyce) Anderson of Barnesville; sister-in-law, Betty Anderson of Owatonna; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1997; brothers, Russel Anderson and Raymond Anderson; and sister, Ardis Blastervold. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca with Pastor Kristi Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow at Owatonna Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, one hour before services at the church.
