Eldon Hunt October 26, 1930 - October 4, 2009

Eldon W. Hunt, age 78, of Faribault, died on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the Faribault Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Private family services will be held. Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault. Eldon Wayne Hunt, the son of Jasper and Maribel (Mitchell) Hunt, was born on October 26, 1930 in Armstrong, Iowa. Eldon served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On July 3, 1969 he was united in marriage to Dorothy "Dolly" Jepson in West Concord, MN. Eldon worked as a truck driver in West Concord for Land O''Lakes and later the West Concord CO-OP. When they moved to Faribault, Eldon worked at different businesses including, the Feed Mill, Farmer Seed and Nursery and Faribault Foods. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dolly" Hunt of Faribault; by daughter, Mary Herrera of Faribault; by five step-children, Eve (Daniel) Lafler of Geneva, Georgia, Fay Bernard and Becky (Daniel) Mornes, both of Grand Rapids, MN, David (Vanessa) Smith of Eden Valley, MN, Michael (Sabrina) Smith of Owatonna, MN; by 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; by his brother, Ronald (Billie) Hunt of Lake City, MN and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Tyler Patrick Bernard and by his sister, Rosella Mae Hunt.
