Earl E. Lundquist, age 81 of Janesville, died on October 27, 2011 at the Janesville Nursing Home, surrounded by his family. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Nancy Hansen, officiating. The Lundquist Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home of Janesville, and will continue on Wednesday morning for one you prior to services, at church. Earl Edwin was born on October 27, 1930 in Mankato, Minnesota to Edwin and Inez (Nordstrom) Lundquist. He graduated from Janesville High School in 1948 and went on to attend the University of Minnesota. Earl served in the United States Army from April of 1953 until his honorable discharge in April of 1955. He was united in marriage to Shirley Anna Roningen on December 30, 1960 at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Earl was a life long farmer. He and Shirley raised their family and resided their entire married life on their Alton Township farm. He was a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church in Janesville, and was a long time member of the Janesville American Legion. Earl was a wonderful husband and father, and was known for his great sense of humor. He is survived by his wife Shirley of Janesville; by his daughters Lori (Raymond) Somers of Waseca, and Lisa (Keith) Kotsonas of Edina; by his sisters Carolyn Kellam of Minneapolis, and Marianne (Robert) Derr of Kenyon; by his sisters-in-law Ione Lillegaard of Bagley, and Lorraine (Jack) Nelson of Dallas, TX, and his brother-in-law Sheldon Roningen of Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents.
