DONNA JEAN LOWERY, age 94 of Waseca died on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Waseca.
Born on January 31, 1924 in Waseca, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Herman and Agnes (Wussow) Born.  She attended Waseca High School graduating in 1942.  Donna married Lowell Summer on August 31, 1944 and they were later divorced.   She married Elliott Lowery on July 6, 1966 at the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Waseca.   Donna was employed with Birdseye Division of General Foods for 15 years and later the E.F. Johnson Co. for 25 years.   She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Waseca.  Through the years she was very active with her church circle and enjoyed long rides in the car, playing cards, crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Susan) Summer of Roseau, Jerome Summer of Waseca, and Mary (Larry) Ambroz of Waseca; step-children, Gailen Lowery of Waseca and Linda Cierpriszewski of Bainbridge Island, WA; eight grandchildren; Jamie Summer, Jonathan Summer, Brice Summer, Allyson Tressel, Nicole Murphy, Bridget Miller, Melanie Schreiner, and Heather Rossow; and 11 great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two grandsons, Joseph Summer and Bobby Summer.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 4-7 PM and continue on Friday, one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at First Congregational Church in Waseca.  Burial will be at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
