DONNA LAVON COOPER, age 87 of Waseca, died on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at BridgeWater in Janesville.

Born in Nicollet County on September 26, 1932, Donna was the daughter of Wilbert and Irene (Kawell) Dallmann. She attended several schools as a young woman before graduating from Mankato West High School. On August 26, 1951 she married Loren H. Cooper in Nicollet, Minnesota. Over the years Donna worked at the Waseca High School, at the E.F. Johnson Company, and most recently at Itron in Waseca. She also enjoyed many years selling Avon products. Family was incredibly important to Donna, and she enjoyed singing karaoke, dancing, playing cards, camping, fishing, visiting the casino, and taking in barbershop music shows with her husband. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca and was also a member of the Moose Lodge and the Waseca American Legion Auxiliary.

Donna is survived by seven children, Deanna Ribbe of Waseca, Sharon Cooper of Minnetonka, Barb Eggers of Elysian, Steven (Susan) Cooper of Waseca, Susan Rollins of Waseca, Debra Mahowald of Golden Valley, and Linda Sommers of Waseca; nine grandchildren, Heather Ribbe of Mankato, Stephanie Ribbe of Waseca, Robert Eggers of Waseca, Shelly Cooper of Waseca, Alex (Brooke) Cooper of Waterville, Brenda (Matt) Schultz of Faribault, Brianna Rollins of Minneapolis, Gregory Sommers of Waseca, and Carrie (Chad) Chum of Mankato; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Carol) Dallmann of St. Peter; and many siblings-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one nephew, Randy Dallmann.

Due to ongoing restrictions surrounding Covid-19, private family services will be held. Interment will take place at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Mankato.
