DIANE LEE LEWER, age 65 of Waseca, died on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, surrounded by family and friends, at Lakeshore Inn in Waseca.
Born in Albert Lea on February 14, 1954, Diane was the daughter of Milo and Edna (Gehloff) Roeglin.  She attended school in Anamosa, Iowa and after finalizing her studies at NIACC in 1977 she went on to finish a nursing assistants degree in 1982.  She married Alan Lewer at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Meriden on February 26, 1994, and they spent many years working together on their farm.  She was a long-time member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Meriden where she was active with the quilting group.  She enjoyed cooking & baking for others, dancing, sewing, macramé, reading, playing scrabble, cards, bingo, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.
Diane is survived by her husband, Alan of Waseca; four children, Bobbi Jo (Tom) Holtz of Waseca, Brian (Michelle) Rurup of Wheatland, ND, Tammy (Joel) Fienen of Mankato, and Leann (Shane) Johnson of Eagan; eight grandchildren, Jordan, Haley, Dylan, Kaden, Kolden, Zayne, Graham, and Gabi; and two sisters, Betty Hunter of Anamosa, IA, and Linda (Ray) Iben of Viola, IA.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sharon Weckwerth and Judy Zimprich, one nephew, Matthew Weckwerth; and one daughter in infancy.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Meriden, with Rev. Dean Smith officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
