Dennis 'Denny' Priebe October 14, 1941 - April 8, 2014

Dennis (Denny) Priebe, age 72, of Waseca, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, Arizona following a recent illness.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church - Wilton, with Reverend Larry Sipe, officiating. Interment will be held at the Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.

Visitation will be held at the McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday morning.

In lieu of flowers, Denny''s family requests memorials be made to the donor''s choice in his memory.

Dennis George, the son of John and Mabel (Ewest) Priebe, was born on October 14, 1941 in Waseca. He was baptized and confirmed, both at Trinity Lutheran Church - Wilton. Denny attended country school near their farm and graduated with the class of 1958 from Waseca Central High School. Following high school, Denny enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. After returning home, Denny was united in marriage to Janet Abbe on November 3, 1962 at the St. Paul''s Lutheran Church in Meriden. They then returned to the family farm where he began his lifelong career of farming the land he loved. He was proud to call his grandparents farm home, something that had been in the family since 1876. Janet then preceded him in death on June 29, 1989. In 1989, Denny also started Priebe Livestock Trucking which he continued to operate today with family. He then married Janice "Jan" (Miller) Praxl on July 22, 1993 in Reno, Nevada. They enjoyed many years together before her passing on August 8, 2013.

Outside of farming and hauling livestock, Denny enjoyed playing poker, camping, being outdoors, helping family and friends with odds and ends, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Denny also enjoyed attending all types of sporting events,

especially the ones his grandchildren were active in. He was a member of the American Legion Post 228 and the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilton Township.

He is survived by his children, Bob (Gretchen) Priebe and children, Michael and Marcus, Debra (Joe) Hoehn and children, Joe Jr., Jesse, Abbe, Anna and Jimmy, Joe (Annie) Priebe and children, Tanner and Hunter Pehrson and daughter-in-law, Paula Priebe and children, Madi, Jack and Ali , all of Waseca; his brother, John (Marcia) Priebe and his sister-in-law, Yvonne Priebe, both of Waseca. Denny is also survived by his stepchildren, Debra (Douglas) Mosser and children, Nathan and Tyler of Sun Prairie, WI, Mark (Julie) Praxl and children, Andrew, Mitchell and Jacob of Waseca and Craig (Jodi) Praxl and daughter, Amber (Daniel) Praxl of Bowling Green, KY; his mother-in-law, Marvel Miller of Waseca; his special friend, Sylvia Krampitz of Waseca and by many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Mabel Priebe; his first wife, Janet; his son, Terry in 2007; his brother, Gerald Priebe; and by his second wife, Jan.
