Delores C. Springer May 13, 1928 - November 10, 2014

Delores C. Springer, age 86, of Faribault, MN, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014, at the Rice County District One Hospital in Faribault.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault. Interment will be held at Trebon Cemetery, Shieldsville Township, Rice County, MN.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to services.

Delores Christine, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Simacek) Soukup, was born on May 13, 1928 in Shieldsville Township, Rice County, Minnesota. On June 19, 1945 she was united in marriage to Rudy Springer at the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church Rectory in Montgomery, MN. Rudy and Delores farmed for many years in Shieldsville Township and Delores stayed at home to raise their family as they were growing up. Rudy preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1984. Delores loved spending time with all of her family. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, doing crossword puzzles, trips to the casino, traveling and watching the Vikings, the Walton''s and Little House on the Prairie.

She is survived by her 11 children, Ronnie (Mary) Springer of Coon Rapids, MN, Darlene (Mike) Schinke of Rochester, MN, Richard (Loretta) Springer of Faribault, Diane (Jim) Savoie of Bloomington, MN, Randy Springer and Sara Jensen of Faribault, Donna (Allan) Wendt of Oregon, Bob (Connie) Springer of Faribault, Debbie (Paul) Merrill of Prior Lake, MN, Raymond Springer of Faribault, Dorothy (Dale) Wille of Faribault and Roger Springer of Faribault; by 25 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Rueben Springer, two grandsons, Jesse Springer and Jason Merrill, two great grandsons, Tyler Springer and Lukas Springer-Akbar and her sister, Sylvia Hughes.
