Darlene J. Erickson, age 69 of Janesville, died on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Immanuel St. Joseph''s - Mayo Health System in Mankato. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Eagle Lake, with Rev. Norman Greve officiating. The Erickson Family will greet friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Eagle Lake. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred. Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home and Crematory of Janesville is handling arrangements. Darlene Joyce was born on July 28, 1941 in Winnebago, Minnesota to Freddie and Mildred (Halverson) Fields. She graduated from Mankato High School. On November 4, 1961 she was united in marriage to Joseph T. Duenes, they later divorced. Darlene was united in marriage to Cleveland L. Raymond on January 26, 1974 at Rochester Lutheran Church, in Rochester Minnesota. Cleveland and Darlene moved their family to Rochester where she began her employment with the Rochester State Hospital and other nursing facilities in the area, they were divorced in 1977. On January 16, 1981 she was united in marriage to Edwin Z. Erickson in Rochester. Darlene and Edwin moved to Madison Lake in 1983, she worked at the Pitstop in Elysian for a short time, and then moved into Mankato to manage apartment buildings. In 1987 Darlene and Edwin moved back to Madison Lake were she was employed by the Sunshine House as a care attendant. In 1989 Darlene and Edwin moved to Janesville, and she continued her employment with the Sunshine House in the Janesville location. She was a longtime member of Salem Lutheran Church in Eagle Lake. Darlene enjoyed playing cards, watching movies, fishing and time spent visiting with her family and friends. She is survived by her son Kenneth Raymond of Janesville; by her mother, Mildred Wakefield of Kasota; by her three brothers, Darrell Thomas of Kasota, James (Julie Lemley) Wakefield of Madison Lake and William (Julie) Wakefield of Mankato; and by her sister, Sandy (Russ) Rieffer of Kasota; and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Fields; by her two husbands, Joseph Duenes and Edwin Z. Erickson; and by her grandmother Bessie Benschoter.
