Danny Surber March 13, 1953 - May 18, 2010

Danny Surber, age 57, of Medford, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the St. Lucas Care Center following an extended illness. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault, with the Rev. Craig Breimhorst, officiating. Interment will be held at the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna. Memorial visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Danny Surber, the son of Roy and Willie (Dowl) Surber on March 13, 1953 in Carthage, Mississippi. Danny moved to Faribault in 1978 and worked at various local businesses including Faribo Manufacturing, Jerome Foods and most recently Mercury Minnesota in the maintenance department. He is survived by his sons, Beau Surber of Faribault and Jason Surber of Austin, Texas; granddaughter Shannon Suzanne Surber; a special friend Nancy Wallace of Medford; sisters Loretta Donavon of Mumford, TX, Becky (John) Campell of Tecumseh, Neb., Marcella Davis of Altch, IL and June Vandervort of Noble, OK; brothers Don (Louise) Surber of Freeburg, IL, Roy (Linda) Surber of Edinburg, MS, Buster (Dee) Surber of Davenport, FL, Morris (Rebecca) Surber of Splendora, TX, Frank (Lola) Surber of Tulsa, OK; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Nona Wilcher and Saphrona Bosch; two brothers Robert, Wayne Surber; and by two sisters Safrona Bosch and Nona Wilcher.
