Charlotte 'Char' Bergmann November 25, 1940 - April 9, 2014

Charlotte "Char" Bergmann, age 73, of Janesville, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Mayo Health Systems ~ Mankato following a recent illness.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, with Reverend Dr. Larry Griffin and Pastor Paul Muther, officiating. Interment will be held at the Janesville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday morning.

Char''s family request memorials be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church Discipling Center or to the donor''s choice in her memory.

Charlotte Esther, the daughter of Orville and Irma (Berndt) Bergmann, was born on November 25, 1940, in Maple Plain Township, Barren County, Wisconsin. She was baptized on December 22, 1940 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cumberland, Wisconsin and confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville on April 11, 1954. She attended Janesville High School and graduated with the class of 1958. Char then continued her education at MSU in Mankato and graduated with a degree in Business. She started working as legal secretary with various lawyers for many years prior to becoming the secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville where she enjoyed serving in many capacities.

She is survived by her siblings , Audrey (Frank) Quam of Janesville, Karen Struck of Janesville, Beverly (Roger) Larson of Forest Lake, MN, Wallace (Karen) Bergmann of Normal, IL, Peter (Maureen) Bergmann of St. Francis, MN, Chuck (Lola) Bergmann of Lakefield, MN, Rachel (Robert) Wagner of LeSueuer, MN, Irene (Jim) Mulcahey of Janesville, Joan (Brian) Alger of Minneapolis, MN, Robert (Julie Reddy) Bergmann of Johannesburg, South Africa, and Carol (Scott) Steinberg of Janesville; and by many

nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant brother, James; her great niece, Lynnea Callison; her great nephew, Benjamin Jones; her fianc, Ed White; and by her brother-in-law, Garey Struck.
