Charles Lee Delaske

CHARLES LEE DELASKE, age 82 of Waseca, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, August 27, 2021.

Born on December 4, 1938, Charles was the son of Leo and Evelyn (Studer) Delaske. He graduated from Waterville High School in 1956. Chuck married the love of his life Janice Mary VonRuden at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville on September 6, 1958. He served in the National Guard from 1956 to 1964. He worked at Herter’s in both Waseca and in Mitchell, South Dakota, Hinikers in Mankato, and retired from Corchran’s in Waseca. He spent his free time gardening, hunting and fishing. Some of the best fishing times were at Kilworry Resort in Pine River. He loved spending time with his family - especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Janice Delaske of Waseca; his mother, Evelyn Delaske of Le Center; his children, Kari (Merle) Warner of Waterville, Lori (Mike) Zimprich of Elysian, Kathy (Jeff) Root of Waseca, and Tom Delaske of Waterville; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Robert (Jackie) Delaske, Dennis (Nancy) Delaske, Linda (Donnie) Fessel, Marilyn (Stan) Grubish, Susie (Fred) Tolzman, and Keith Delaske all of Waterville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Shari; his father Leo; and one great-grandson, Anthony Zimprich.

A public visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.

A private family service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 with interment to follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca. dennisfuneralhomes.com
