Carole Klatt May 27, 1931 - January 31, 2009

Carole K. Klatt, age 77, of Faribault, died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault, with Chris Sorenson- Woodside, pastoral minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating. Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Carole Kathryn Stearns, the daughter of John and Clothilde (LeBlanc) Stearns, was born on May 27, 1931 in Faribault. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1948. Carole married David Klatt on February 3, 1951 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. She worked for many years at the Faribault Woolen Mill. Carole was known for her quick wit and sense of humor by many friends and family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and reading books. She is survived by her husband, David of Faribault; three children, Steven (Robin) Klatt of Minneapolis, Richard (Melanie) Klatt of Fridley, and Susan (Josef) Malek of Faribault; three grandchildren, Jesse, Joel, and Michael; and great granddaughter, Hannah; brother, Conrad (Helen) Stearns of Faribault; brother-in-law, Delbert Klatt of Blaine; sister-in-law, Mary Evans of Lakewood, CA; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Monsignor John Stearns; and sister, Marian Noeller.
