Carie Jean Hansen March 7, 1966 - May 28, 2014

Carie J. Hansen, age 48, of Waseca, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at her home following an extended illness.

A Celebration of Carie''s Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Barden''s Bar in Waseca. Private family interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Austin, MN.

Arrangements are being completed by the McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca.

Carie Jean, the daughter of Larry and Linda (Sawyer) Hansen, was born on March 7, 1966 in Austin, Minnesota. She attended Austin High School and graduated with the class of 1984. Carie worked at Viracon in Owatonna for many years and later worked at Linder''s Liquor in Waseca before her health began to fail. She enjoyed being outside and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Cpl. Alex Mutch currently stationed on Okinawa, Japan in the Marines and his half-sister, Breahnna Mutch; her parents, Larry & Linda Hansen of Austin; her sister, Christine (Lindsay) Zaharris of Owatonna; her brother-in-law, Terry Harvala of Waseca; her niece and nephew, Cortney Kitzman of New Richland and Jesse Zaharris of Owatonna; and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her many aunts and uncles; and by her sister, DeeAnn Harvala on October 19, 2013.
