BETTYJANE RUEDY, age 79 of Waseca, died peacefully at her home on Friday, September 30, 2016.
Born on February 25, 1937 in Crosby, Minnesota, BettyJane was the daughter of Leon and Olga (Norman) Semler.  As a young woman she graduated from Crosby Ironton High School.  She was a long-time employee and office manager of American Hail Insurance Company.  BettyJane married Wallace Ruedy on August 28, 1981.  She enjoyed traveling the states in their motorhome with her husband Wally and their dog, Teddy.  When home in Waseca, she enjoyed crocheting, canning, flowers, singing in the church choir, and visiting with family and friends.  BettyJane will be greatly missed and always remembered.
BettyJane is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Wallace Ruedy of Waseca; three children, Donald (Kay) Kretzmann of Lakeville, Dennis (Marvel) Kretzmann of Savage, and Lisa (Mike) Carlson of Richfield; four grandchildren, Rebecca Kretzmann, Courtney Stroth, John Carlson, and Krystal Carlson; five step-children, Tim (Marilyn) Ruedy, Tom Ruedy, Tracie (Tom) Wolf, Tamara (Gary) Berg, and Tara (Franz) Masonick; and twelve step-grandchildren, Lanie, Jon, Jacob, Rick, Mary, Steve, Jeff, Dan, Greg, Lou, Sam, and Ben.   BettyJane is also survived by her siblings, Ellsworth "Sonny" Semler of Iron Mountain, MI, Delmer (Terry) Semler of Casa Grande, AZ, Alice De St. Croix of Lacey, WA, and Dwight (Mabel) Semler of Deerwood, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca, with Rev. Victor Waters officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church. 
Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or Faith United Methodist Church.
