Bertha "Bertie" LeMieux Stadler, age 95, of Faribault, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the Kenyon Sunset Home in Kenyon. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault, with Rev. Nancy Edwardson, chaplain of Kenyon Sunset Home, who ministered to Bertie for the past four years. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Bertha Delores Van Den Boom, the daughter of George and Mary (Driessen) Van Den Boom, was born on March 8, 1916 in Kimberly, WI. Her family moved to Faribault when she was four years old. Bertie married Isadore LeMieux on April 28, 1936 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1970. Bertie worked at the Faribo Woolen Mills for 11 years. She married Charles Stadler on May 5, 1974 at the Immaculate Conception Church. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1974. Bertie volunteered for many years at Infinia Care Center and Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, both of Faribault. She loved children, and sponsored children from developing countries for many years. She is survived by her sister, Ann Cornell and sister-in-law, Marion Van Den Boom, both of Faribault; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Isadore and Charles; parents; and siblings, Martina Schweisthal, Joe Van Den Boom, Tom Van Den Boom, and Leonard Van Den Boom.
