Bernice I. (Holtz) Wagner, age 84 of Waseca, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Cedarview Care Center in Owatonna.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca with Reverend Giles Zimmer, officiating. Interment will be in Waseca''s Woodville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Friday morning for one hour prior to services, at church.

Bernice Irene was born January 29, 1928 in Waseca, Minnesota to Ben and Irene (Ewest) Holtz. She was baptized on May 13, 1928 at St. John''s Lutheran Church in Waseca. At three years of age her family moved into Waseca from the farm south of town. Bernice renewed her baptismal vows through the Rite of Confirmation at St. John''s in May of 1942 and sang in the church choir. She was a 1946 graduate of Waseca Central High School. Bernice worked a brief time at Birds Eye in Waseca. She was united in marriage to Henry C. Wagner on August 5, 1951 at St. John''s Lutheran Church, Waseca. They lived many years in Janesville while raising their family, before moving back to Waseca in 1975. Bernice was a housewife and mother, later caring for her husband who fought Multiple Sclerosis for 25 years. Bernice enjoyed sewing, gardening, singing, reading, spending time at various lakes, and keeping up to date on her grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Henry A. Wagner of Montgomery; three daughters, Ann (Leland) Estes of Emmons, Nancy Danielson (Jamie Killday) of Prior Lake, and Janice (Rick) Schultz of Owatonna; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother in 1979 and 1980, respectively; husband Henry in June of 1987; granddaughter, Jennifer Estes, and great grandson, Ethan Meyering; four brothers-in-law; sister-in-law, Hilda Goltz; niece, Lanette Haberman,

and nephew, Melvin Goltz.

Casketbearers are: Chris Danielson, Lynn Danielson, Brandon Schultz, Jeremy Flink, Nick Ramirez, and Dave Lau.
