Barbara Hayes June 20, 1941 - July 21, 2010

Barbara J. Hayes, age 69 of Waseca, died on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 surrounded by her family, at Immanuel-St. Joseph''s-Mayo Health System in Mankato. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 24th at 7:00 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca with Fr. Martin Schaefer officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Waseca. The Hayes Family will greet friends on Saturday afternoon from 5 to 7 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home. Barbara Jean was born on June 20, 1941 in Waseca, Minnesota to Arthur and Irene (Hunt) Hayes. Barbara attended Sacred Heart Parochial elementary and high school. Over the years Barb was employed as a waitress with Marilyn''s Caf, and as a bartender with Helen''s Bar & Grill and later the Corner Bar, all in Waseca. Barb volunteered her time helping at many events at the Waseca V.F.W Sweet-Sommers Hall. She enjoyed playing bingo, pull tabs, cards, shaking dice, garage sales, and attending auctions. Barb loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Tammy Hayes of Waseca; by her grandchildren Jessica Hayes, and Jordan Hayes, and her great grandchildren Isaah and Tatyana Johnson, all of Waseca; by her brother Richard Hayes of Waseca, and her sister Helen (Pat) Hilton of Buffalo, MN; by her sister-in-law Audrey Hayes of Waseca; by her closest cousin Debra Harshman of Waseca; by many nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents; by her grandson Adam Hayes, and her brother Robert Hayes. Honorary bearers are: Mike Hilton, Mike Olsem, Jordan Hayes, Jerry O''Meara, Donald Hunt, and Ivan Harshman.
