Barbara A. Barber, age 84, of Waseca, died Sunday, August 25, 2013, at the New Richland Care Center following an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca, with the Very Rev. James C. Zotalis, Dean of the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour in Faribault, officiating. Interment will be held at the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday morning for one half hour prior to services.

Barbara Ann, the daughter of George and Helen (Ziegler) Taylor, was born on March 8, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan. She attended high school in Michigan and on June 25, 1948, was united in marriage to Leslie Barber in Ypsilanti, Michigan. They later moved to California where Barbara attended beauty school and eventually owned a beauty shop for many years. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School at her church, Holy Trinity Church. She was active in the VFW Post 2018 in California where she served as President for two years. She and Leslie moved to Waseca in 1993 for a brief time before moving to Elmore, MN then to Arkansas and back to Waseca. Leslie later preceded her in death on January 5, 2006. Barbara enjoyed the good times spent with her family and friends, but most of all, she cherished her time spent with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her two great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Joy Barber of Waseca, Dale Barber of California, Terry Barber of Elmore, MN, and Glen Barber of Owatonna; her fifteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, and her two great-great grandchildren; her siblings, James and Dorothy, both of California and by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie; her son, Allen Barber; her daughter, Lynn Sanford; sons-in-law, James Sanford and Dennis Cotterman; her

daughter-in-law, Betty Barber, and by her sister, Gayle.
