Audrey Jo Poyser September 2, 1946 - September 16, 2014

Jo Poyser, age 68, of Janesville, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Janesville Nursing Home.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Janesville, with Pastor Nancy Hansen officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Arnoldt- McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville and one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Jo, the daughter of John and Audrey (Arnold) Scott was born on September 2, 1946 in Waseca, Minnesota. She attended high school in Janesville before graduating from St. Mary''s in Faribault. She attended Simpson College in Iowa before obtaining her bachelor''s degree in English from Mankato State University. Upon completing her education, she began her career as an accountant, working at various places including working at the Lake Shore Inn in Waseca, MN for 28 years. Jo enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, cooking, going to plays, and watching sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings. She also loved spending time at the lake and with her family.

She is survived by her son, Scott Poyser of Eden Prairie; brother, Mike (Candi) Scott of Elysian; nieces, Courtney (Matt) Conroy and Chelsea Scott of Elysian; brother-in-law, Duane Fuhrman of Elysian; dog, Sophie; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her sister, Mary Faith Fuhrman.
