Annabelle Margaret was born on April 2, 1927 to Raymond and Anna (Underdahl) Kane at her family''s home in Richland Township, Rice County, MN. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1944. Ann was married to Edward Thomas Jirik on October 15, 1949 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. Ed''s job took them to several different states and they were blessed with three children. After Edward passed away suddenly on February 22, 1964, Ann returned to Faribault and continued to focus on raising her family with great pride.

Ann volunteered at church through her rosary circle and with the hospital auxiliary. She was a member of the Faribault Senior Center and an avid bridge player. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed attending her grandchildren''s musical, sporting and educational events. Traditions were very important to Ann. She greatly enjoyed hosting gatherings of her family and friends, especially over the holidays. Her strength and loving care for her family cannot be replaced and her memory will be treasured forever.

She is survived by two children, Steven Jirik of Burnsville, MN, and Deborah (Eric) Kautzman of Champlin, MN; three grandchildren, Brian, Anna, and Kate Kautzman; two sisters, Elizabeth Gale of Aurora, CO, and Otilla Schley of Faribault; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; son, Douglas; brothers, Joseph and Edward Kane; and her parents.

The family would like to send a special thank you to "Nurse Kate" of Allina Hospice for the outstanding and compassionate care she provided to Ann and her family.
