Anna M. Borchert October 12, 1935 - December 6, 2014

Anna M. Borchert, age 79, of Faribault, MN, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014, at District One Hospital in Faribault. Anna was surrounded by her loving husband and children.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 10th, 2014 at 1:00PM at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault, with Bernadette Tatge, Pastoral minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery Faribault.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Anna Marie was born on October 12, 1935 on the family farm in Fairmount, ND to Matthew and Hattie (Krause) Meyer. She graduated from Wahpeton High School with the class of 1953. She married Daniel Muchow on April 21, 1954 in Fairmount. They later divorced. She married John Borchert on July 17th, 1970 in Sioux Falls, SD. They made their home in Faribault until they moved to Aurora, CO, where they lived from 1972-1975. They moved back to Faribault where they continued raising their family. Besides being a homemaker, Anna was an avid gardener and was known for canning of pickles and tomatoes. For many years she also worked in the restaurant/bar business including Wimpy''s, Joe''s Bar and for 17 years as bartender and bar manager at the Moose Lodge in Faribault. Anna was a member of the Faribault Women of the Moose, Lodge 2098 and VFW Post 1562 Women''s Auxiliary. She also played city league softball and was a league bowler.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John Borchert of Faribault; nine children, DeAnna (Scott) Pitts, Jackie (Tony) Grossman, Vyron (June) Muchow, Cheryl Muchow(partner Brian Dwyer), Phillip (Mary) Muchow, Glenda Muchow, Derin Muchow (Rick Tuskowski), Amy Borchert (partner Joe Schrot), Jay Borchert and special family friend, Rick Remmey. Sixteen grandchildren, Christina Muchow, Melissa (Scott) Musgjerd, Jason Schwab (fiance Brittany Doffing), Tiffany Pitts, TJ Grossman (fiance Kate Ryan),

Jamie (Kris) Shaban, Matthew (Krista) Muchow, Zachary (Mary) Muchow, Lucas Muchow, Evan Muchow (partner Casey Gray), Nicholas Pitts, Kaitlin Pitts, Lindsey Pitts, Alexis Ann Borchert, Paige Borchert and Johnathon Borchert, sixteen great-grandchildren, siblings Anthony Meyer, Agnes Ista and Rita Roberts and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Muchow and daughter Rhonda Muchow, her parents; brothers Darryl, Albert, Raymond, Cyril, Jim, Gary and Daniel Meyer; sisters Phyllis Meyer, Geneva Baker, Mary Paczkowski.

A luncheon will be held at the Moose Lodge in Faribault following graveside services.
