Ann (Frederick) Brase, age 84 of Waseca, died on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Immanuel-St. Joseph''s Hospital in Mankato. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 15th at 2:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Martin Schaefer officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service, at Sacred Heart Church. Arrangements are being handled by McRaith Funeral Home of Waseca. Anna Marie was born on August 13, 1925 to Joseph and Mary (Wodarczak) Gostomczik in Lexington, Minnesota. She graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High School in 1943. On October 5, 1945 she was united in marriage to Orlyn Frederick at Sacred Heart Church in Waseca. Orlyn and Ann raised their family and farmed in Woodville Township until Orlyn''s death in 1974. On September 12, 1982 Ann married Richard Brase, and they resided in Waseca. Richard died in 1993. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and past president of the Waseca Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary Aerie # 3753. Ann enjoyed baking, gardening, and canning. She especially loved time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Steve (Kathy) Frederick of Waseca, and Roxanne (Tom) Jes of Plymouth; by her grandchildren Sarah (Jesse) Molnau of Norwood Young America, Amy Jes of Vail, CO, Wendy (Chris) Swenson of Belgrade, MT, Joanne Frederick and Kristen Frederick both of Waseca; by her two great grandsons, Joey and Ben Molnau; by her step-daughter Skye (Jeff) Dauer of Eagle Lake, and her step-son Lane (Tammy) Brase of Owatonna; by her five step-grandchildren; by her sisters, Marce Williams of Madison, WI, and Florence (Louie) Gieske of Ankeny, IA; by two sisters-in-law Anita Gostomczik of Waseca, and Merle Gostomczik of Medford; by many nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; by her brothers Joseph Gostomczik and Leo Gostomczik and her sisters Eleanor (Oscar) Sampson, and Dorothy (George) Welkele
