Anita Ann was born on January 29, 1932 to Charles and Eva (Frederick) Hoehn in Madison Lake. Anita was baptized as an infant and later confirmed her Catholic faith all at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. Anita received her education at Mankato Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1950. Shortly after her graduation she was united in marriage to Joseph Gostomczik on October 17, 1950, at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. Together, they moved to a farm in rural Waseca where they started a family. Together they had four children and shared 43 years of marriage before Joe passed away on April 2, 1994.

Anita worked full time as a secretary at Donahue Real Estate and later as a cook at the Waseca Hospital. Although she held a full time job, her first priority was raising her family. She was a great farm wife, helping out where ever she was needed and she was a great mother to her four children. Later in life she worked for Quad County and was the Blooming Grove Township Board Supervisor for 37 years. Anita was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. Anita was an avid gardener and would frequently bring her produce to the Waseca Farmers Market. In her younger years Anita and Joe would frequently go square dancing and play cards any chance they could. They raised Collies for many years. Anita was a huge Vikings fan. She loved fishing and visiting with friends. Above all else, she cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Anita is survived by her children: Joseph "Chuck" Gostomczik of Janesville, Shari (Mike) Heinen of Hutchinson, Connie (Larry) Troy of Owatonna, and Kathy (Brad) Wallace of Gaylord; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother, Joseph (Carol) Hoehn of Shakopee; sisters-in-law: Marce Williams of Madison, WI and Merle Gostomczik of Medford; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, MaryJo Wallace, three brothers and one sister.
