Alvera Wiebold, age 92, of Janesville, died peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2013, surrounded by her family at the Lakeshore Inn Nursing Home of Waseca following a recent illness.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin and Pastor Paul Muther, officiants. Interment will be held at the St. John''s - Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Iosco Township, Waseca County.

Visitation will be held at the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville on Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Alvera Dara Christine, the daughter of William and Agnes (Ewert) Wobschall, was born on March 8, 1921 at her grandparent''s home in Waldorf. She attended Waldorf High School and graduated with the class of 1939. Following high school, Alvera attended one year of beauty school in Mankato and then owned and operated a beauty shop in Waldorf for a short time. On May 1, 1945, she was united in marriage to Albert B. Wiebold at the First Lutheran Church in Waldorf. They then moved to the family farm in Freedom Township, Waseca County and eventually moved to Janesville. In 1954, Albert and Alvera purchased their first bus. From that point forward, they enjoyed operating Wiebold Bus in Janesville until selling it in 1981. Albert preceded her in death on March 26, 1995. In 2006, she moved to Park Road Plaza and enjoyed living there for a few years and eventually moved to Colony Court in Waseca following health concerns.

Alvera enjoyed being very active in church functions at Trinity. She held many officer positions in ladies aide, served as altar guild, and enjoyed helping Albert with the many custodial duties. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, camping and family vacations when her children were young and most importantly, being a grandma and great grandma.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Wiebold of Springfield, Missouri, Michael (Mary) Wiebold of Mankato and Russ (Donna) Wiebold of Janesville; her grandchildren and families, John (Hillary) Panowitsch Wiebold and children, Audrey and Ryan, Steven (Michelle) Gilreath-Wiebold and children, Payton and Mitchell, Erik (Bridget) Wiebold and children, Hannah and Julia, and Dara (Noah) Little and children, Madeleine and Jackson; her brother, Dale Wobschall of Longville, MN and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband Albert.
