Aletta A. "Letty" Berndt, of Elysian, went home to her Lord and Savior on April 22, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26th at 2:00 P.M. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elysian with Reverend Russell Grabau, officiating. Interment will follow in Elysian''s Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday afternoon from 12:30 P.M. until the hour of service, at the church. McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca is handling arrangements. Aletta August was born on July 2, 1922 to Otto and Emma (Boettcher) Felske in Iosco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota. She married Leonard E. Berndt of Elysian on August 14, 1942. She was a lifelong resident of Elysian, and longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elysian. Letty is survived by her daughters, Edith (Renato) Chiavatti of Raleigh, NC and Rita (Glenn) Vogler of Elysian; brother, Edgar (Dorothy) Felske of Janesville; grandchildren, Paula (Jeff) Miller of Lakeville, MN, Anthony (Melanie) Chiavatti of Raleigh, NC, Christopher (Kristen) Vogler of Waseca, MN, Nicole (Chris) Ronich of New Hope, MN; great grandchildren, Carlee and Colby Miller of Lakeville, MN and Adora Vogler of Waseca, MN; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, her daugher Elaine Coulombe, her son LeRoy L. Berndt, and her grandson David Vogler; by four sisters and one brother. Letty''s family would like to thank the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home for their care over the years, and is very grateful for the loving care provided most recently by the Lodge Hospice Care in Lakeville, Minnesota.
