Agnes G. Brandt, age 83, of Waldorf, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the New Richland Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Waldorf on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin and Rev. Giles Zimmer, officiating. Interment will be held at the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Danville Township, Blue Earth County.

Visitation will be held at the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Agnes Gertrude, the daughter of August and Martha (Mann) Lienke, was born on January 12, 1930 in Waseca. She was baptized and confirmed at the St. John''s Ev. Lutheran Church in Alma City. Agnes attended Waldorf High School and graduated with the class of 1948, and was married to Robert O. Brandt the following day, June 1st, at St. John''s Ev. Lutheran Church. They resided in the Waldorf area their entire life. Outside of helping Robert on the farm, Agnes worked for E.F. Johnson in Waseca for a few years and also enjoyed delivering Winnebago motor homes with Robert later in life. In 2000, they moved off the farm into Waldorf and Robert preceded her in death on September 16, 2008.

Agnes also enjoyed spending summers fishing in the Walker/Leach Lake area, tending to her flower beds, being outside and feeding her birds. She was a dedicated and longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Danville Township.

She is survived by her children, Hazel (Gary) Owens of Waseca, Susan (Bob) Kipp of Waldorf and Rodney (Stacy) Brandt of Waldorf; her many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, John Lienke of Pemberton, and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert; her sister and brother-in- law, Laura (Art) Santo, and by her sister-in-law, Eileen Lienke.

Agnes'' family would like to thank the staff at New Richland Care Center and also at St. Croix Hospice for their love and care given to Agnes.
