Agatha S. Kelsey March 22, 1936 - June 12, 2014

Agatha S. Kelsey, age 78, of Faribault, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Faribault Care Center, following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Agatha Sarah Kelsey was born on March 22, 1936, in Faribault to Allen Sr. and Sarah (Barnett) Kelsey. She spent most of her childhood at Gillette Hospitals managing her medical needs. Agatha often assisted in childcare for others. In 1991, as a result of a pedestrian/vehicle accident, she was placed in nursing care. She had a great interest in books, and the activities at the nursing home, which included, bowling, bingo, and card games. Agatha was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, and the Holy Spirit Fraternity of Franciscans.

She is survived by brothers, Wally (Viola) Kelsey of Faribault and Vern (Janet) Kelsey of St. Paul; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, twins Ray and Roy Kelsey, Allen Jr., Clarence, George, and Bob Kelsey; and sisters, Gertrude Brandt and Leatrice Pike.
