SUSAN M. STREED, age 45 of Waterville, formerly of Waseca, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna.

Born in Owatonna on June 7, 1962, Susan was the daughter of Murlin and Viola (Marquardt) Buske.  She graduated from high school in Mankato and later attended Mankato State University.  Susan met Peter Streed in Waseca, and they were married in New Richland on September 20, 1986.  Over the years, Susan worked for E.F. Johnson, Sommer’s Repair, Mary Kay Cosmetics, and finally SPX in Owatonna.  Susan enjoyed fishing and camping with her family, exotic animals, and raising flowers and plants, especially roses.  She was a fun person to be around, and will be missed by all who knew her.

Susan is survived by her husband, Peter of Waterville; two sons, Matthew Streed of Colorado Springs, CO and Royal Streed of Waseca; two daughters, Nicole Streed of Waseca and Rebecca Streed of Waterville; one grandson, Aiden Cassidy of Waseca; her parents, Murlin and Viola Buske of Waseca; and five siblings, Raymond (Janelle) Buske of Bloomer, WI, Tammy Syrstad of Bloomington, Caroline (Mitch) Anderson of Rochester, Dawn (Terry) Odenthal of New Prague, and Melissa Buske of Waterville; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents. 

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 25, 2008 at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca, with Rev. Philip A. Lewison officiating.  Visitation will precede the service from 5-7 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
