William Spittler

WILLIAM JOHN SPITTLER, age 96 of Waseca, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.

 

Born in Waseca on July 31, 1915, William was the son of William and Martha (Oestreich) Spittler.  He graduated from Waseca Central High School in 1933 before attending the University of Minnesota for a short time.  On March 31, 1938, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Nelson in Iowa.  William was employed by the E.F. Johnson Company in Waseca for about forty years as a condenser department foreman.  William enjoyed taking care of his home and property.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca.

 

William is survived by his wife Phyllis of Waseca; one son, John Spittler of Chandler, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Russell, Marvin;  and two sisters, Helen and Bernice.

 

Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca, and will continue one hour before services at the church on Saturday.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Giles Zimmer officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
