IRENE SEIBEL, age 49 of Faribault, died suddenly on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at District One Hospital in Faribault.

Born in Faribault on January 31, 1959, Irene was the daughter of John and Alice (Kelm) Seibel.  She grew up in Morristown and attended Morristown Public Schools, and later moved to Faribault where she attended Faribault Technical College.  She was employed for seventeen years at the St. Lucas Care Center, and most recently worked as a cook at the “Guest House.”  Irene was a wonderful person, and was very giving to her nieces and nephews whom she was always there for.  Irene enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, visiting over coffee, and playing bingo at the Morristown American Legion and the Faribault Eagles Club.

Irene is survived by her mother, Alice of Morristown; siblings Sharon (Bill) Malecha of Lindstrom, Janet (Bob) Waugh of Waterville, Pete Seibel (Shelly Thomas) of Faribault, Bill (Lori) Seibel of Morristown, and Carol (Marino) Cervantes Lopez of Faribault, and nine nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, and one brother, Harold Seibel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Peace United Methodist Church in Morristown, with Rev. Eldon Eklund officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church.  Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
