DOROTHY J. SCHOENROCK, age 86 of Waseca, died on Wednesday, December 1, 2010.

Born on December 30, 1923 in Waseca, Dorothy was the daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Weckwerth) Rietfort.  She graduated from Waseca High School in 1941.  On April 22, 1948, Dorothy was married to Wallace Schoenrock at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.  Dorothy worked at the E.F. Johnson Company for a time before working for Dr. Fastle, and later spent ten years with Dr. Oeljen’s office.  She continued her working career with Brown Printing, Stucky’s Drug Store, and again at E.F. Johnson, Co. for nine more years until retiring.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling, attending horse shows, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.

Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Karen (Craig) Huntington of Blue Earth, Lynette (Mark) Fenner of Portland, OR, and Marla (Eugene) Chadderdon of Waseca; three grandchildren, Stacy Scofield, Mandy Groe, and Cash Huntington; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Groe; one sister, Merle Rietfort of Waseca; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca, and will continue for one hour before services at the church on Tuesday.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca, with Rev. Steven Bohling officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.  Memorial gifts may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church of Waseca or to the American Cancer Society.
