Julie Roemhildt

JULIE ANN ROEMHILDT, age 39 of Elysian died on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

 

Born on October 29, 1968 in Mankato, she was the daughter of James and Barb (Krenik) Roemhildt.  She attended Waterville-Elysian High School and received a degree as a legal secretary at Mankato Technical College.  She married Cory Hanna on June 4, 1986 in Waseca.  Julie and Cory were married for twenty years and recently divorced.  After she finished school she spent two years in Hawaii and returned to Mankato in 1989 with her husband and daughter and was employed at Taylor Corporation.  Julie was transferred to Waco, Texas in 1995 and later returned to Mankato and continued to work at Taylor Corporation as a customer service supervisor.  The past three years she lived in Elysian.  She enjoyed waterskiing, playing cards, spending time with family and friends, and shopping.

 

She is survived by one daughter, Brittani Hanna of Waco, TX; parents James and Barb Roemhildt of Elysian; sisters, Jill Roemhildt of Mankato, Kari and Scott Dorenkemper of Elysian, and Kelly and Darrell Haag of Morristown; former husband, Cory Hanna of Waseca; grandmother, Virginia Roemhildt of Elysian; one niece Kylie Dorenkemper; two nephews, Kallen Dorenkemper and Riley Haag; and special friend, Cory Neid of Waseca.  She was preceded in death by two grandfathers, maternal grandmother, and two uncles.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 12:00 PM at Christ Community Church in Waseca with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church.  Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home of Waterville is handling arrangements.
