EDNA LILLIAN QUIRAM, age 101 of Waterville died on Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Waterville Good Samaritan Center.

Born on February 23, 1909 in Cordova Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Fred and Bertha (Martin) Ferch.  Edna attended school in rural Cordova Township.  She married Edwin Krueger on November 16, 1927 at St. Peter’s “Bell” Lutheran Church.  Together they lived and farmed in Waterville Township until Edwin’s death in 1965.  Edna then moved to Waterville where she worked at the OK Café and Leuthold’s as well as doing housecleaning for area families.  She also made and sold baked goods from her home.  Edna later married Hugo Quiram and they resided in Waterville.  She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, and flowers.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kilkenny and the Ladies Aid.

Edna is survived by two daughters, Inez (Robert) Schwartz of Waterville and Janet (Reuben) Schmidtke of Waterville; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great great grandsons.  She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one grandson, and three sisters.

Visitation will be held at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 5-7 PM and continue on Thursday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 1:30 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kilkenny.  Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
