MARY LOUISE PRECHEL, age 82 of Waseca died Monday, May 5, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Waseca, Minnesota on January 25, 1926, she was the daughter of Oscar and Mabel (Bamford) Eaton. She attended rural Waseca County School District #24 before graduating from Waseca High School in 1943. Following high school, she attended Mankato Teachers College. Mary taught school in Waseca County before marrying Milan Prechel on November 14, 1948 at the United Methodist Church in Waseca. Together they lived and farmed in Woodville Township, Waseca County. Mary enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, and reading. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca and the Woodville Homemakers Extension Club.
She is survived by her husband, Milan of Waseca; four children, Wayne (Linda) Prechel of Janesville, Keith (Ronda) Prechel of Faribault, Jean (Daniel) Page of Pemberton, and Glen (Sandra) Prechel of Waseca; eight grandchildren, Jamie Reineke, Sara Prechel, Kimberly Prechel, Ryan Prechel, Jennifer Page, Matthew Page, Jill Wedan, and Karen Prechel; and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Harold Eaton and Kenneth (Harriet) Eaton all of Waseca; one sister, Emily (Paul) Speakman of Breckenridge; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Eaton of Owatonna; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Stanley Eaton, and one sister-in-law Donna Eaton.
Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 4-8 PM.
Interment will be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Woodville Cemetery. Following interment, memorial services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Terry Quick officiating. |
