LOUISE E. OSMUNDSON, age 96 of Waseca died on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Autumn Grace in Mankato.
Born on February 25, 1915 in Wilton Township, Waseca County, Minnesota she was the daughter of Albert and Lulu (Knight) Cole. She attended school at the “Pink Schoolhouse” in Wilton Township. Louise married James M. Osmundson on September 1, 1939 at the Methodist Church in Waseca. After raising her family, Louise worked at Mishek’s in Waseca for 14 years and later at the E.F. Johnson Co. for 15 years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, knitting, crocheting, and crafting. Louise especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Friedl of Waseca; one son, Roy Osmundson of Savage; three grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Bernard “Bud” (Betty) Cole of Waseca. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son in infancy, one son-in-law, four sisters, and two brothers.
Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 4-7 PM and continue on Wednesday, one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca with Rev. Victor Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
