LORETTA L. MOSHER, age 89 of Janesville, died on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Janesville Nursing Home.

Born on July 28, 1921, Loretta was the daughter of Fred and Helena (Schaetzke) Barbknecht.  Loretta was baptized on August 14, 1921, and was confirmed fourteen years later on April 14, 1935 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.  She attended rural District #14 school.  On February 14, 1945 she was married to Neil Mosher in Minneapolis.  Loretta worked as a housekeeper for various families in the area for many years, and later worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville.

Loretta is survived by her nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Ewald, Helmuth, and Alfred Barbknecht; and five sisters, Selma Barbknecht, Malinda Kalis, Anna Mittelsteadt, Alma Quiram, and Ella Gottschalk.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour before services at the church.  Interment will follow at St. John’s Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
