RAYMOND A. MILLER, age 98 of Waseca, died on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna. Born in Vivian Township, Waseca County, on February 2, 1912, Raymond was the son of William A. and Bertha M. (Schroeder) Miller. He attended two country schools in Vivian and Wilton Townships before going to High School in Waseca. On June 30, 1936, Raymond married Esther M. Kaiser in Manley, Iowa. He farmed in the Waseca area most of his life, and also was employed at UBC in Waseca for eight years. Raymond served on the Otisco Township board for 14 years and volunteered to deliver Meals on Wheels and drove people to their doctor’s appointments. He was an active member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Waseca where he served on various church committees and ushered for funeral services. Raymond is survived by his son, James (Juanita) Miller of Waseca; two grandchildren, Gretchen (Gary) Timm of Stillwater and Craig (Brenda) Miller of Waseca; five great-grandchildren, Meghan, Maxwell and Mariah Timm and William and Thomas Miller; one sister-in-law; one son-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1987; his daughter Margaret Granger in 2003; six brothers, Melbourne, Almon, Clarence, Bennie, Marvin, and Earl Miller; and one sister, Ruth Olson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the Waseca Evangelical United Methodist Church, with Rev. Marvin Repinski officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before services at the church. Interment will take place at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca. Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca is handling arrangements.
