MARGARET V. MILBRATH, age 85 of Waseca, died on Monday, December 6, 2010, at her Colony Court residence in Waseca. Born on June 17, 1925 in Le Sueur County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Frank and Edith (Preble) Elliot. Margaret was born and raised on a farm near Cordova and attended school in Kasota. She married John W. Milbrath on August 29, 1942 in Bastrop, TX. Having worked as a homemaker through the years, they lived in Texas, Waterville, Elysian, Janesville, Owatonna, and Waseca. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing and reading. She was a member of Janesville United Methodist. She is survived by sons, Steve (Diana) Milbrath of Mankato, John Jr. (Rita) Milbrath of Elysian, James Milbrath of Auburn, ME; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Janesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Bescye P. Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at Smith’s Mill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. |
