DOROTHY M. MEYER, age 72 of Waseca died on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at her residence at Latham Place in Waseca.

Born on July 30, 1939 in Morristown, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Harold and Margaret (Morgan) Meyer.  Dorothy graduated from Faribault Bethlehem Academy.  She was employed with the E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca for 45 years.  Dorothy enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, and reading.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.

Dorothy is survived by her siblings, John (Rose Mary) Meyer of Mantorville, Walter (Linda) Meyer of Austin, William (Candice) Meyer of Faribault, Gerald (Barb) Meyer of Faribault, and Sandra (John) Kucera of Medford; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Louise Kucera; and one niece, Kelly Meyer.

Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 4-7 PM with a 6:00 PM rosary and 6:30 PM parish prayer service.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Rev. Marty Schaefer officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.
