VIRGINIA LEE MCCOLLEY, age 73 of Waseca died on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at her residence in Waseca.

Born on March 30, 1938 in Le Sueur, Minnesota she was the daughter of Byron and Mabel (Elliott) Bickell.  She moved to Waseca with her family and attended Waseca Public Schools, graduating in May of 1956.

On September 1, 1956, she married David McColley at the Evangelical Church in Waseca.  Together they made their home in Waseca.  She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher.  She enjoyed her family, grandchildren, reading and friends.

Virginia is survived by her husband Dave of Waseca; their children, Diane (Peter) Rohde of Burnsville, Debbie (Terry) Field of Pelican Rapids, Karen (Mark) Wilker of Waseca, Kevin McColley of Pinewood, Dan McColley of Pinewood, and Cheryl (Lanny) Viegut of Green Bay, WI; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by four sisters, Betty Kulas of Owatonna, Edith (Bill) Osborn of Winnebago, Violet Yerhot of Waseca, and Bonnie (Jerry) Lieberg of Brooklyn Center; one brother, Irving Bickell of Waterville; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother-Walter Bickell, and one sister-Mary Caswell.

Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 4-8 PM and continue on Saturday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Evangelical United Methodist Church in Waseca with Rev. Jon Schultz officiating.  Burial will follow at Owatonna Memorial Gardens.
