Vera (Vee) Larson

VERA SYLVIA (VEE) LARSON, age 90 of Waterville died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Born in Linden Township, rural Hanska, Minnesota on October 17, 1918, she was the eldest child of Theodore and Tina (Strom) Vee. Vera married Orville Larson on June 30, 1941. They moved to the Waterville area in 1952 where they lived and farmed until their retirement. Vera was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville and was a member of the Waterville VFW Auxiliary. During her lifetime, Vera was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and the birds and wildlife on the farm.
She is survived by her husband, Orville of Waterville and one daughter, Virgene and Charles Dempewolf of Le Center. She is also survived by five brothers and sisters, Lorraine Ellanson, Ordell Vee, Arvid Vee, Beatrice (Bob) Schwingler, and Harlan Vee; two sisters-in-law, Irene Larson and Monica Vee; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister-Jeanette, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville on Friday, April 17, 2009 from 4-8 PM and continue on Saturday one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville with Rev. David Mumme officiating. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 2:30 PM at Linden Lutheran Cemetery in Hanska.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville or Linden Lutheran Cemetery Fund in Hanska. |
