INEZ M. LAMONT, age 78 of Waterville, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Waterville Good Samaritan Center.

Born February 17, 1932, in Le Sueur County, Inez was the daughter of Geroge and Ella (Bittrich) Kelm.  She attended Cannonville Country School before attending and graduating from Waterville High School.  On November 12, 1952, Inez married Merle Lamont at the German Lake Lutheran Church.  She lived in the Waterville area her entire life, raising and caring for her family.  Inez enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids, baking pies, reading, and having coffee with friends.  She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Waterville.

She is survived by her children, Joan (Roger) Tarjeson of Lewiston, John (Linda) Lamont of Waterville, Lois (Curtis) Hogan of Waterville, Roger (Debbie) Lamont of Waterville, Karen Lamont of Waterville, and Tom Lamont of Faribault; twenty two grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren with another on the way; two sisters, Adeline Shold of Morristown and Alice Seibel of Morristown; one brother, Otto Kelm of Hastings; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Betty Kelm; one granddaughter, Angel; one daughter-in-law, Jenny Lamont; and one great-granddaughter, Brynn.

Visitation will be held on from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville, and will continue for one hour before services at the church on Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Waterville, with Rev. Cindy Kennedy officiating.  Interment will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
