ROSINA ELLA KOPISCHKE, age 99 of Waseca, died on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.
Born on September 2, 1912 in Meriden Township, Steele County, Minnesota she was the daughter of John H. and Martha (Dinse) Wilker Jr. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Meriden. Rosina attended school in Meriden Township. She married Lawrence Schultz on August 21, 1933 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Meriden. Rosina was employed with the E.F. Johnson Co. from 1953 until 1968. She later worked at the Powell House, bakery, and technical college in Waseca. She married Wilfred Kopischke on November 23, 1962. Rosina enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and doing seamstress work. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne (Deloris) Schultz of New Ulm and Lowell (Betty) Schultz of Owatonna; four grandchildren, Greg (Shirley) Schultz of Owatonna, Lisa Thompson of Chanhassen, Douglas (Tammy) Schultz of Baxter, and Dick (Barb) Schultz of Grand Forks, ND; nine great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Marvin Wilker of Hopkins; one sister-in-law, Annabelle Wilker of Owatonna; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters – Irene Eggers and Adeline Hinchley, and three brothers – Alfred, Norbert, and Harold Wilker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 11, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca, with Rev. Steve Bohling officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church. Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a recipient of the donor’s choice.
