HARLIE RAYMOND KLINGER, age 94 of Waseca, died on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Janesville Nursing Home. Born in Waseca County on June 11, 1917, Harlie was the son of Frank and Rosa (Fritsche) Klinger. He was blessed to become a child of God through baptism at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Freedom Township, Waseca County. As a young man he attended rural Waseca County school. After his family moved to Waseca, Harlie became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he has remained a member. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and upon his discharge he worked for several farmers in Waseca County. He also worked with his father as a hand tiler. He was a devout believer and now resides with his Savior, Jesus Christ in the heavenly mansions above. All praise and thanks to God. Harlie is survived by his sister, MaeDean Larson of Waseca; a very special great-niece, Sarah Hanson of Owatonna; and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers, Lorenz, Eldor, Mainard, Harold, Carlos, Leroy, Wesley, and Norman Klinger; and by one sister, Luella Hanson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with Rev. Giles Zimmer officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00PM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
