EVELYN AUGUSTA KLINGER, age 89 of Otisco died Friday, December 14, 2007 at the New Richland Care Center.

Born in Waseca County, Minnesota on March 5, 1918, she was the daughter of Frederick and Elsie (Brandt) Kujath.  She attended school in rural Waseca County.  Evelyn married Frederick Klinger on October 23, 1935 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Otisco.  Together they lived and farmed in rural Otisco before moving into Otisco.  They later moved to Realife and Evelyn most recently was a resident at the New Richland Care Center.  Fred and Evelyn had enjoyed spending 15 winters in Mission, TX.  She also enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing cards, visiting with friends and family, and her specialty - baking.  She was a member of St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church in Otisco and the Ladies Circle.

She is survived by three daughters, Shirley (Melvin) Thome of Adams, Sharon (Don) Brandt of Mt. Vernon, WA, and Judy Howard of Waseca; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Gert Kujath of Waseca, Clara Barbknecht of Waseca, Adeline Enderson of Albert Lea, and Mary Francis of Salem, OR; and many nieces and nephews; step grandchildren; step great grandchildren, and step great great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in law-Bruce Howard, three sisters, and three brothers.  

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church in Otisco with Rev. Philip A. Lewison officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
