CHARLES “CHUCK” EDWARD KATZ, age 51 of Waseca passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the Janesville Nursing Home following a two year battle with cancer.
Born on May 24, 1959 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin he was the son of William W. and Lois Ree (Carroll) Katz. He graduated from Waseca High School in 1977 and attended St. Cloud State University and Stout University. Chuck was employed at Domino’s Pizza and was co-owner/manager of PJ’s Tavern from 2004 until 2009. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, horseback riding, darts, pool, foosball, bowling and card games of all kinds. Chuck always had a joke for you.
Chuck loved everything about the outdoors and wanted to be a Forest Ranger but was unable to achieve his dream due to a car accident his senior year of high school. Above all else, Chuck had an amazing spirit and loved people.
He is survived by mother, Ree of Waseca; two brothers, Bill Katz of Florida and John Katz and Jenifer Dvorak of Waseca; and one niece, Jillian Katz of Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, William and his grandparents.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 12:00 PM at Christ Community Church in Waseca with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating. Food and fellowship will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mankato Hospice. |
