MARGARITA S. JIMENEZ, age 87 of Waseca died on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at her residence in Waseca.

Born on October 17, 1923 in Piedras Negras, Mexico, she was the daughter of Guillermo and Victoria (Bernal) Segura.   Margarita married Luis Jimenez on April 20, 1968 in Rock Springs, Texas.  She enjoyed sewing, making blankets, and watching her soap operas.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.

She is survived by one son, Alejandro Perez of El Indio, TX; one daughter, Angelica Torres of Waseca; 20 grandchildren, Angie Torres, Vicente Torres, Jorge Torres, Sonia Garza, Elvira Moreno, Amelia Valdez, Lupe Salinas, Alejandro Perez, Fransico Garcia, Ricardo Leyva, Sarah Deleon, Juan Deleon, Sandra Deleon, Savas Deleon, Estella Deleon, Cecilia Deleon, Delfino Deleon, Ricky Deleon, Jesse Deleon, and Alicia Deleon; 34 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, one granddaughter, and one great grandchild.

The three day wake service will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3-8 PM.  There will be a 7:00 PM vigil service on Sunday, October 2 and visitation will continue on Monday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 1:30 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Rev. Marty Schaefer officiating.  Interment will take place in Mexico at a later date.
