NORMA M. JACKSON, age 84, of rural Waseca, died on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at her residence. Born December 23, 1925 in Iosco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Martin and Martha (Fretham) Quitney. She attended rural Waseca County school district #5 in Blooming Grove Township. Norma married Lewis Jackson on July 19, 1947 at the farm where they lived. After getting married they lived and farmed in Waseca County. She also worked at Birds Eye in Waseca a few years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, playing cards, being with grandchildren and family pictures. She was a member of North Waseca Lutheran Church and the Hope Circle and Waseca Senior Citizens. Norma is survived by three children, Robert (Bonnie) Jackson of St. Paul, Lila Jackson of Waseca, Delores (Roy) Srp of Waseca; five grandchildren, Eric (Karolina) Jackson, Kari (Brad) Fessel, Kimberly Cole, Molly Jackson and Robby Jackson; five great grandchildren, Hannah, Henry and Halle Fessel, Thor and Alexander Jackson; two brothers, Richard (Connie) Quitney of Mason City, IA, and Clifford (Sondra) Quitney of Mason City, IA; two sisters, Mildred Fish of Ramsey and Barbara (John) Connelly of Litchfield; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters-Adeline Tollefson and Gladys Mork; and two brothers, Vernon Quitney and Lester Quitney (Lester Quitney died on Friday, July 16, 2010). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at10:30 AM at North Waseca Lutheran Church with Rev. Nancy Hansen officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at North Waseca Lutheran Cemetery. Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca is handling arrangements. |
